There was a fatal accident on Tuesday at the Spinx Gas Station on White Horse Road near Welcome Avenue in Greenville.
According to Greenville County Coroner’s office the accident happened at 8.23 p.m. when a Honda Civic ran off the right side of the road into a Spinx Convenience Store parking lot, hitting several gas pumps and also another vehicle.
The Honda Civic had four occupants. From Greenville were 19 year old Shizaire Mitchell, an unnamed 15 year old girl and 19 year old Delvin Foster. Also in the car was 18 year old Monica Landrum of Inman. At this time it is not known who was driving.
Shizaire Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt force trauma. The other occupants in the car were taken to Greenville Memorial due to their injuries.
The vehicle that was hit in the parking lot was being driven by 33 year old Michael Branyon. He and his passenger, Jacqueline Miller, aged 24, of Greenville, were also taken to Greenville Memorial.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
