On Sunday night a Greenville Police Office was involved in a head on collision.
According to the police, the accident happened on Sunday night at around 8.15 p.m. when Police Officer Jennifer Freeman was hit while traveling south on Sweitzer Street by a 2011 Ford F150, driven by 25 year old Brent Obringer, who was traveling northbound, but drifted onto her side of the road. Obringer hit Freeman’s patrol vehicle, and she was transported to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Rescue with non life threatening injuries.
She was later released from hospital on the same day, suffering from bumps and bruises.
Obringer refused treatment, and was arrested at the scene of the accident for operating a vehicle while impaired.
The road was closed for a little less than an hour and the crash is currently under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
