On Sunday, March 15 a motorcycle accident in Greenville resulted in the death of a man.
According to authorities, the accident happened at around 8.30 p.m. on Sunday when 46 year old Michael Wayne Bagwell, of E. 8th Street in Greenville, was traveling on Rutherford Road on his motorcycle. He arrived at an intersection and then when another vehicle on Stallings Road turned in front of him during an active traffic light which was changing, Bagwell was thrown from his motorcycle into another stationary vehicle.
Bagwell was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he was rushed into surgery but he died at around 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident with the priority being to ascertain exactly what position the traffic light was in.
