On Thursday, May 14, a man from Ware Shoals died in a motorcycle accident.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 6.30 a.m. on Thursday morning in Laurens County on State 101.
Jamal Amador Cloud, aged 43, of Dairy Street, was riding to his work at BMW in Greer on his 1999 Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a Honda sedan on State 101 near Postell Hughes Drive. Cloud was thrown from the motorcycle and although he was wearing a helmet, he was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The accident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner. It is not yet known whether any charges will be brought.
