Having lost control of a truck she was driving, a 16-year-old girl was seriously injured on Tuesday.
According to Darke County deputies they were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to State Route 571 and Wagner Road along with Greenville Rescue, Greenville Township Fire Department and Care flight.
There they discovered a single vehicle accident.
It appears that a 16 year old girl, whose name has not yet been released, was driving a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup truck in the 2800 block of State Route 571. The investigation shows that she was unable to negotiate the curve at State Route 571 and Wagner Road.
The pickup then went off the west side of the roadway and down a steep embankment. The girl was said to be seriously injured and was transported by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation and there is so far no further word as to her condition.
