On Friday night, January 29 a man from Gray Court died in a motorcycle and car crash.
According to Simpsonville police, the accident happened at around 6.30 p.m. at 499 SE Main Street at the Loma Street intersection in front of an Auto Zone store in Simpsonville. There was a collision between a four door car being driven by 43 year old Marka Fuller of Simpsonville and a motorcycle being driven by 58 year old David Gibson of Gray Court.
Gibson died in the collision and Fuller has been charged with driving under the influence resulting in death, possession of schedule IV controlled substance and driving too fast for conditions.
Gibson was the Maintenance Director with Marchbanks Assisted Living of Anderson, South Carolina and was survived by his wife Rachel Ann Blount Gibson, three sons, three grandchildren and a great grandson.
